Horse food

Horse food depends on the type of horse – show horse, pasture horse, stable horse and the season. 1st cutting bales costs $2.50, 2nd cutting bales cost $3.50  and feed ranges  from 15-20 dollars a bag.

Hay costs vary depending on which country or part of the country you are in. A round hay roll costs about $40. In Europe, horse feed costs 8-22euro per bag depending on the make of the feed. Bailey’s horse feed is popular

In winter, hay, alfalfa, and oats are the main foods for horses. If there is no pasture available, the same food is provided in summer also else the horses can graze on the grass in the  pasture. Some horse owners will also feed the horse with bran and 14% fat pellets. Show horses are given additional supplements.
